Behind the Camera
I’m Andrew, the photographer behind Seek & Capture Photography. This page shares a bit more about how I work, what matters to me, and the experiences that shape my photography.
My Story
Spending time in new places and unfamiliar environments has shaped how I approach photography. Travel taught me to slow down, pay attention, and stay open to what is unfolding rather than trying to control a moment. That way of seeing informs everything I photograph, whether I am working close to home or exploring somewhere new.
When I work with people, the process always begins with conversation. I want to understand what matters, what the images are meant to communicate, and how they will ultimately be used. From there, I shape the experience around the people and the setting in a way that feels natural and intentional. Sometimes that means offering clear guidance. Other times it means stepping back and letting things happen naturally. The goal is always the same. To create images that feel true to the moment.
Outside of client work, travel continues to be an important part of my life. When I am not shooting, I am usually planning the next trip, spending time outdoors around Arizona, or getting up to Sedona whenever I can. I make a point to explore new places each year, both domestically and internationally, and I am drawn to environments and cultures that offer a perspective different from my own.
Alongside commissioned work, I create wildlife and landscape prints as a personal extension of that exploration. These images focus on quiet moments, subtle details, and scenes that are easy to overlook. Creating prints allows me to slow down, reflect on a place, and share moments that may never be experienced firsthand by others.
I am also a trained sommelier, a background that has reinforced my appreciation for patience, detail, and craft. Those same values carry through my photography, shaping how I approach both the creative process and the final work.
From the field and the studio
From time to time, I send a brief newsletter sharing updates on recent work and new print releases.
I’m thoughtful about what I send and how often. Updates are limited to quarterly at most, with the rare message when a limited edition becomes available.
If that resonates, you’re welcome to subscribe below and stay in touch.
